Cooling effects are maximized when flush mount ceiling fans are approximately 7’-8’ from the floor. Flush mount type ceiling fans can be used when the ceiling height of the apartment is not built very high. Flush mount anchors the fan flushes against the ceiling. This mounting system is best suited for ceilings of lower than average height. A Ceiling Fan under 8’ with this type of mount is also known as huggers.
Flush mount ceiling fans enable the fan to remain close to the ceiling reducing the chance of any wobble that may be sometimes found in other types of fans. For flush mount types there is no downrod required, it also gives the fan a lot of balance and a more compact look after fitting. Sloped ceilings require an angled mount, these are sold separately.
